About Norman L. Williams

Born in Washington, D.C., Norman L. Williams has been drawing and painting for as long as he can remember. After studying art at the Columbia Technical Institute and the Art League in Alexandria, VA, he pursued his career in the Washington, D.C. area.

The Washington, D.C. native handles figure studies, portraits, human interest situations, landscapes and abstracts – all with equal perfection.

Norman L. Williams’ work adorn the wall of the likes of Dick Gregory, Danny Glover, General Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., Coretta Scott King and Riddick Bowe, to name a few. His popular art work, entitled Malcolm X, was critically acclaimed to be one of the best ever portraits done on this great leader. The True Emancipator, Martin’s Strength, and The Tuskegee Airmen, all have helped this artist reach enormous heights in the art world. Some of his public exhibits include the Alabama Aviation Hall of Fame, the General Chappy James Museum, the National Voting Rights Museum, and the National Rights Museum and Institute.
